Product information – fake hair
The fake hair sold in Glitter shops is made of 100% polyester
and should not be treated like real hair. See the care and washing instructions below.
CARE
Brush the fake hair after each uses with a metal brush. Never use a plastic brush or comb which damages the hair and makes it static. Metal brushes are available in Glitter shops. Backcombing of fake hair is not recommended since that makes it difficult to untangle the fake hair. Curling irons, hair dryers or similar hair products that heat up should not be used, since this can melt the fake hair.
WASHING INSTRUCTIONS
Use a mild soap or shampoo and lukewarm water. Gently squeeze through the hair – never rub. Then dip the hair in a mixture of water and a small amount of rinse agent. Allow to drip dry. Never use conditioner, hairspray, or other styling products.
TIPS
Do you want to curl your fake hair? Roll it in non-heated curlers and rinse the fake hair in warm water, up to 70 degrees C. Allow it to drip dry and then carefully remove the curlers. If the hair becomes static, put a little rinse agent on your hand and run your fingers through the fake hair. Use silicon spray, available at hair salons, if you want your own hair as shiny as the fake hair. Spray your own hair before attaching the fake hair.
Product information – watches
Different watches have different levels of water resistance. The range is from waterproof at certain depths: “waterproof to a certain depth (=pressure), to a certain water resistance. Our watches as a rule are not waterproof but have a certain amount of protection against damp/moisture. In other words, they can be used outside but do not wear them while bathing. Please bring your watch to a watchmaker when the battery needs to be replaced.
Product information – sunglasses
Sunglasses made of metal are tested for nickel according to the relevant EU standard (just as for jewellery).
SPECIAL EFFECTS: FLASH MIRROR
Certain sunglasses have a “flash mirror” effect on the lens. This provides a mirror effect and makes reflection possible in sunglasses .
UV 400 = 100% UV-PROOF
UV is an abbreviation for Ultra Violet and indicates the wavelengths of ultraviolet rays. The higher the UV level, the better the resistance to ultraviolet rays, for example UV 400 is the most effective against UV; it prevents all UV radiation up to 400 nm, i.e.essentially “any” radiation. ALL Glitter sunglasses are UV 400.
